Mohair Throw

A couple of years ago, my husband bought me a mohair throw kit from Ironstone Yarns. He bought the kit at a local yarn shop. Ironstone Yarns doesn't have a website but I found a website that sells the kits. Here is the link to the kit I have: Ironstone Mohair Decorative Throw
This is worked on straight size 35 needles. It was somewhat of a challenge to keep it on the needles (I'm used to circular for afghans), but manageable. Five different yarns are worked at once in a basket weave pattern. They have you cut the fringe before you begin, then you knit until you run out of yarn. It went fast. The only problem is that you get mohair all over you when you use it.

Ah yes! The lovely side effects of mohair yarn, you look like a sasquatch after cuddling with it. I had one mohair sweater I knit & that did me in. No more fur for me ;o)
